Common questions
Will resizing distort my image?
Not if you keep the aspect ratio locked — the tool scales both dimensions together so proportions stay correct. Unlock it only if you deliberately want a different ratio, or use Crop/Stretch instead.
What is the difference between contain, crop, and stretch?
Contain adds padding to fit your image inside the new size without cropping anything. Crop fills the whole frame by trimming the edges. Stretch forces the exact size, which can distort the image if the ratio changed.
How do I resize an image without losing quality?
Making an image smaller never loses visible quality. Enlarging a small image well beyond its original resolution can look soft, since the tool has to invent new pixel detail that was never in the source file.
